Enable Debug Logs On Your Blackberry

Handheld Debug logs provide information for troubleshooting when problems occur on the handheld. You can view the event log by:

1. On the Home screen, hold down the Alt key and type LGLG. The Event Log screen opens.
2. If the Event Log screen displays Debug Info in brackets, proceed to step three, below. Otherwise, set the Event Log screen to display the Debug information:
Click the trackwheel and select Options. Select Min log level and click the trackwheel. Select Change Option > Debug Info. Click the trackwheel and select Save. The Event Log screen displays Debug Info in brackets in the title.
3. On the Event Log screen, click the trackwheel and select Clear Log. In the confirmation dialog, click Delete.
Save a Copy of the Debug Logs
After the problem occurs, save a copy of the debug logs before synchronizing.
1. On the Home screen, hold down the Alt key and type LGLG. The Event Log screen opens.
2. Click the trackwheel and select Copy Day’s Contents.
3. Paste the contents into the body of an email and send the message to yourself.
